Theresa Clark, Director of Thirty-One Gifts and members of her team, Laura Clark, Chantel Gibson, Mandi Stanclift and Alanna Boldon hosted a fundraiser helping bring in 200 thermal totes filled with toiletry items for the RMHC Madison families! With the generous support of so many people, they exceed their goal of 31 thermals.

“I did this fundraiser because my brother, David, and his family stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Madison this year while their daughter, Amelia, was in the hospital for the first five months of her life with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome,” said Theresa. Amelia had her first open heart surgery at six days old and two subsequent heart surgeries before finally going home. “My family and I are very grateful for the Ronald McDonald House because my brother and his family could be close to Amelia. This fundraiser was the least I could do for the families who stay the House.”

Theresa’s team member, Laura, also has a deep connection to the Ronald McDonald House. After losing her precious Keagen to cancer five years ago, everything she does is in honor of him. With The Mighty Keagen Foundation, she hosts Easter Breakfast, Thanksgiving Dinner and toy drives at the Madison Children’s Hospital. She also started Lola Girl Cakes from which all proceeds go to The Mighty Keagen Foundation. Laura’s son, Triston, went door to door asking people to sponsor a thermal for this fundraiser!

Another team member, Mandi, stays at the House frequently when her son, Owen, is at the Children’s Hospital. She was very excited to participate in this fundraiser to give back.

This was truly a wonderful way for this team to not only honor their families, but to have a positive impact on families facing similar situations.
