Solidifying our Foundation
June 30th, 2022 | Our Impact
In January, we introduced the 2022 Strategic Plan – ‘Solidifying Our Foundation’ in which we aim to make investments into our operations at the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room to better support the increasing number of families we serve. This goal includes making critical investments in our staff, our volunteers, our technology systems, and increasing brand awareness. With the leadership and commitment of the Board of Directors and our RMHC-Madison Team, we’ve made progress toward these goals and are excited to share the good work happening at RMHC-Madison.
In March, we launched a new guest family management system creating a more efficient referral process for our hospital partners, easier check-in and check-out processes for volunteers, improved guest family communication including a check-out survey, and integrated the Ronald McDonald Family Room into the stay management system. And in July, we will be launching a new family feedback survey ensuring we have immediate information to continuously improve our family stay experience.
As we continue to open more rooms for families, the need for volunteers increases. We have had 21 new volunteers join us since January. We now welcome back our younger volunteers 14 years and up! We are still looking for volunteers with a passion for our mission of serving families.
Additionally, we recognize that while RMHC is a well-known brand; many, even in Dane County, do not know where we are located, what we do, or how we serve local families in our Ronald McDonald Family Room in partnership with SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison and Augie’s Lunches with Love program in partnership with UW Health Kids at American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH). Help us by reading and sharing our impact stories and partnerships with others, and/or inviting us to speak at one of your events to help share our impact and mission.
We continue to solidify our foundation leading with our mission, vision, and core values:
