Ronald McDonald Family Room at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison celebrates 9 years of providing comfort and care

This month, the Ronald McDonald Family Room at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison celebrated its 9th anniversary! Since 2012, this space has provided thousands of families with comfort and care just steps away from their child’s hospital room.

“The Ronald McDonald Family Room is a much-needed home away from home for families during a challenging, emotional time,” said St. Mary’s Hospital President Kyle Nondorf. “We are incredibly grateful for their partnership, which allows us to keep families close to their infant or child while we are providing them with exceptional, compassionate care.”

The Family Room provides living space, laundry, and kitchen facilities, and bedrooms for families to use to stay close to their child. These services are offered with the help of a group of 50 dedicated volunteers who allow us to keep the room open to families seven days a week.

As we look back on the nine years of serving local and out-of-town families at the Ronald McDonald Family Room, we could not be more grateful to our volunteers, partners, and donors who continue to support our program.
