RMHC-Madison welcomed two new faces this month helping to bolster the staff as the organization celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2023.
The RMHC-Madison operations team welcomed Sophia Melgar, a Michigan native, as Volunteer and Operations Coordinator. Sophia arrived at RMHC after serving as Care Manager at the Mental Health Cooperative in Nashville, TN. Sophia shares, “I am so excited to be working at RMHC because this mission has always been close to my heart, and I see how crucial volunteer involvement and commitment is to make this House a home away from home for our families.” When asked to share an interesting fact about herself, Sophia tells us that “I really like to birdwatch and I’m excited about all the new birds I’ve seen since moving to Madison!”
Lindsay Meyer, a Massachusetts native, joined RMHC-Madison as Marketing & Engagement Manager with more than eight years of non-profit marketing experience. She most recently served as Senior Director of Marketing at Special Olympics Wisconsin. Lindsay shares, “I am excited to jump in and leverage my skills and experiences to garner increased awareness to current and potential stakeholders of the deeply rooted mission of RMHC-Madison, the services it provides and opportunities to support.” Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, baking and gardening.
Both Sophia and Lindsay are already making wonderful contributions in their time here thus far and we look forward to the impact they will make in the years to come.
