At RMHC-Madison, our mission is to ensure families can stay together while their children receive critical medical care. Our goal to never turn families away—to ease the burdens of lodging, meals, and travel expenses—is a big one. But what better way to keep families together than to come together in support of RMHC in 2025? Our events generate essential funds for our organization while also strengthening the sense of community and purpose, spreading awareness, and fostering meaningful engagement through volunteering, donating, and celebrating together.
These events are more than fundraisers—they’re lifelines for families facing unimaginable times. Every dollar raised directly supports RMHC-Madison’s programs that provide comfort, stability, and care to families in need. Our Upcoming 2025 Events
Rock Valley Golf Classic
The Annual Rock Valley Golf Classic returns to Beloit Club for its 29th year on Wednesday, June 18, for a day of competition and purpose. This beloved event includes lunch, dinner, a program with auctions, and a heartfelt mission moment presented by an RMHC-Madison family.
Proceeds from the event directly benefit families from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, ensuring they have warm rooms, home-cooked meals, and a supportive environment when their child needs medical care. Funds also support our Care Mobile, a mobile healthcare unit that delivers essential medical services to underserved and uninsured children in the region, making a life-changing impact for families who might otherwise go without care.
Madison Golf Classic: Red Shoe Soirée + Golf Outing
Celebrating 36 years, the Annual RMHC-Madison Golf Classic is a premier two-day event featuring the Red Shoe Soirée and Golf Outing at the beautiful Nakoma Golf Club. As our largest fundraiser, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to support RMHC families by helping provide them with a comforting place to stay together while their child receives medical care at Madison’s leading hospitals.
The event kicks off with the Red Shoe Soirée on August 10th. This unforgettable evening is filled with specialty cocktails, delectable hors d’oeuvres, exciting auctions, and a heartfelt story from an inspiring guest family. Stick around for the Arches After Hours party, where you can dance the night away with drinks and late-night snacks.
Then on August 11th, gear up for a day of golf and vie for the prestigious Big Red Shoe Award in one of Madison’s most iconic charity golf events. Grab a Bloody Mary, tee off at one of the exciting hole experiences, smile for the camera with Ronald McDonald himself, and collect your prizes at the 19th Hole Wrap-Up.
Every year, this event helps to alleviate the financial burden of hotel and travel expenses for families who travel from around the world to access life-saving medical care in Madison. With your support, we provide a “home-away-from-home”—complete with comfortable rooms, nutritious meals, and a caring staff—allowing families to focus on what matters most: the health and well-being of their child.
Team RMHC – Madison
Cheer on Team RMHC on Sunday, October 12, 2025, as they run the Chicago Marathon to keep families close. Though entries are sold out, you can join the waitlist or support our runners as they race with purpose.
