Thank you for 25 years of service, George Falor

George has been volunteering with many community organizations in Madison for more than 20 years. Today marks his 25th anniversary with RMHC-Madison. He became a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House on Easter Sunday in 1995 and has been a night and weekend supervisor at the House and a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald Family Room inside of SSM Health – St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
George has become a friendly, familiar face to our families at the House as well as in his volunteer role at area hospitals. On a whim, he signed up to be a volunteer “cuddler” who holds and comforts critically ill infants at Meriter. With over a decade of experience as a “cuddler,” George even helped start a cuddler program at SSM Health – St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
“I have volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House for more than two decades and saw so many families from area hospitals, especially parents with babies in the NICU. I wasn’t sure how it would work out, but after holding that first baby, I was hooked.” In addition to his “cuddler” role, George also helps train other volunteers to hold these fragile infants.
In addition to his gift of time, George also makes annual donations to support RMHC-Madison. We are incredibly fortunate to have George as a part of the RMHC family; always helping in any way he can to improve guest families’ experience.
Happy 25th anniversary, George! Our mission is stronger because of you.
