Because healing happens together

Eight year old Eme and five year old Presleigh both have a disease called Parry-Romberg Syndrome (PRS). PRS is a rare auto-immune condition that causes deterioration of half of the face, migraines and seizures. Because of this disease Eme and Presleigh met while seeking treatment in Madison and even had surgery the same day. The girls were able to heal together at the Ronald McDonald House developing a strong bond of friendship which their parents also share.
“It’s wonderful to have someone who understands what you are going through and to lean on. Without the Ronald McDonald House, we would not have been able to do that! Because of the love and support the Ronald McDonald House provided to us, our kids were able to heal in a home like environment with people who have become just like family!” said Eme’s mom, Kandy.
