Projects with Heart

RMHC-Madison invites you to help guest families by channeling your passion, talents or interests into a fundraising endeavor. Each year, local businesses, organizations, schools, and groups fundraise to benefit the cause. Hosting your own project is a wonderful way to support our mission, be creative, work as a team, and make a difference for families. Whether your passion is golf, crafting, cooking, or showing employee appreciation you can have fun while giving back.
Finding Creative Ways to Pay it Forward
Roy’s Market Round-Up
Roy’s Market in New Glarus was inspired to help RMHC in honor of a former employee. “After Barb’s passing, we wanted to do something special in her memory. Someone suggested fundraising for RMHC, which was an organization she loved and supported,” said Kensie Burreson of Roy’s Market. Customers at the store were encouraged to round-up their receipts over the summer, resulting in an incredible $2,000 donation to our organization. Now that’s a caring community!
Stark Company Realtors Community Golf Classic
Every swing of the golf club raised money to keep our doors open at the 15th Annual Stark Community Classic Golf Outing this past August. Realtors and staff chose RMHC-Madison as their charity of choice in 2023, raising nearly $20,000 for our mission!
Dave Stark noted, “It was such an honor to be able to support the great work of Ronald McDonald House at our golf outing! The work RMHC does is incredible, and we were so moved to meet Ember’s family and hear their story. You could tell our Stark team was engaged and glad we could help such a great organization.”
He also left the RMHC team with a few words of motivation, “Keep up the great work helping families through some very difficult times. What could be more meaningful than that?” Dave Stark and team, we couldn’t agree more.
In Memory of Baby Riley
We spend so much of our lives with co-workers that when times are difficult, finding ways to show support and kindness can go a long way. Tricor Insurance felt that emotional pull in the aftermath of a heartbreaking loss for one of their employees. Knowing the Ronald McDonald House was a respite for baby Riley’s family throughout her short life, employees raised more than $3,000 to support families facing similar circumstances in her honor.
Riley’s mom shared, “RMHC-Madison was truly one of the biggest blessings during our time in Madison. It allowed us a consistent place to rest our heads, have a warm meal, and be able to clear our minds for a brief moment. We will forever be thankful for the love and kindness we were shown during our stay. So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
