Heartline Spotlight: UW Trio
September 26th, 2023 | News
This month, we shine our light on three new volunteers to the House. Kennedy, Grace and Kelsey are sophomores at UW-Madison, roommates and a volunteering powerhouse trio! It all began when Kennedy started volunteering at RMHC-Madison because of a personal connection her family had to the House. She has been enjoying her volunteer experience so much, that her roommates, Grace & Kelsey, wanted to support RMHC-Madison as well! We asked them “why do you volunteer with RMHC-Madison?”
Kennedy: My interest in RMHC-Madison started when my cousins stayed here when their daughter was a patient at the children’s hospital! At that time, I decided I wanted to volunteer at RMHC-Madison because I value their mission to help relieve every possible stressor for families with children in the hospital.
Grace: I continue to volunteer here because I love the family-like environment and also that we are helping families in times of stress and uncertainty to have a place to call home.
Kelsey: The Ronald McDonald house is an extremely inviting space with the kindest staff and volunteers. I continue to volunteer at RMHC-Madison because I support their mission and can see the positive impact the house has on the families we serve.
