How To Stay

The Ronald McDonald House® of Madison provides temporary lodging and services for the families of children who are undergoing medical treatment at local health care facilities who live more than 35 miles away from RMHC-Madison.  We only accept referrals from non-profit medical facilities accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).  Initial admission to the Ronald McDonald House is available by referral from a hospital social worker or guest services.

Location
We’re located at 2716 Marshall (See Map) Court on Madison’s near-west side. Marshall Court runs parallel to University Avenue between University Station and Highland Avenue. It’s just off of University Bay Drive.

Hours
Once a referral has been received by the House, guests may check in any time between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., seven days a week.  Families must call between 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on the morning of their visit to verify arrival times.

Cost to families
We ask a room fee donation of $10 per night, with the first night’s donation due upon arrival.  Should this pose a financial strain, please consult the appropriate hospital social worker or guest services department to work out other arrangements.  We do not turn away families who, due to financial circumstances, cannot afford the $10 donation. One room per family will be provided with a maximum of 4 people per room.  On rare occasions, we may be able to accommodate 5 people.

Length of stay
Families are welcome to stay at the House one night, a week, several months, or up to a year if necessary, as long as their child is receiving treatment at an approved Madison health care facility.
